- BUBBLE BATH!  Feeling romantic? How about drawing up a nice bubble bath? A little before thought takes this idea from “meh” to “ohhhhh!” Grab some candles, bath salts, foot massage oil, chocolate and wine glasses. Enjoy a rejuvenating yet simple night at home! We love Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salts. The Citrus is my favorite, it smells so good! The lavender is close behind though. I usually buy the combo pack so we get both!

- MASSAGE NIGHT!  Don’t have a bath? That’s okay! You can still have a massage night! Massage Oils, Chocolates, Candles, it might be fun to throw in a foot massage book or an electric massager too! Be creative! A massage night doesn’t seem so great if you show up empty handed…but whip out some candles,a massage book, and some oil and your adorable! This Almond Massage Oil is wonderful! It dries without being greasy and goes on smooth. It definitely helps get those knots out!

- MAKE A CREATIVE DINNER TOGETHER!  Forget the normal easy pasta dish, try making a creative dinner at home together! Sushi, empanadas, pot stickers, chocolate dipped strawberries, or maybe make your own noodles! Try something new! Build a fire and eat outside! Be creative and eat dinner in a unique way. The point of valentines is to do something special and create memories together!

-RELATIONSHIP GAMES!   It’s always fun to play a relationship game on Valentines Day! I think the best Valentines Dates are the ones to strike up conversation and remind us of old memories of why we fell in love! These games could be paired with any of these other Valentines Date ideas, it might be fun to play on your walk, in the car or even in the bath! They are also great to be used just by themselves!

- GO FOR A “VALENTINES” WALK! When was the last time your spouse and you went for a walk? Take them around the block, around the park, maybe downtown or to a significant landmark. If it’s cold outside even better! Bundle up, put on your snow boots and hold hands! Surprise your spouse with two thermoses, some hot chocolate and maybe a treat to share! Simple but sweet!

- DINNER AND A DRIVE!  Don’t feel like walking? How about a drive? Do you have a significant spot, a place with beautiful lights or views? Pack a warm dinner, some battery operated candles, and two wine glasses and have a candlelight dinner in the car looking at the view! With COVID the to-go options are endless!  Order in advance and pick it up on the way! Don’t forget dessert and non-alcoholic sparkling apple cider (your driving remember)!

- RESTAURANT AT HOME!  Don’t have a babysitter?! That’s okay too! We have had many dates that the kids serve us our dinner! They have fun making menus, helping cook and taking/serving our orders. Mom and Dad sit in a candle lit room and the kiddos can eat elsewhere! If your really creative you might even get them to clean up! Don’t forget the candles and enough chocolates for those kiddos!
