Rocket Cordless Stick

Dyson VS Shark Vacuum? The never ending question when it comes to cleaning! Seems no one knows the answer because no one can afford to buy both! Lucky for you, I recently started professionally cleaning houses. In this review I will compare the Shark Rocket Cordless Stick Versus the  Dyson V7 Motorhead Cord-free!

One of the homes I clean has the Dyson V7 MotorHead Cord-free Vacuum. I have to tell you the first time I used it I was pleasantly surprised! We have cleaning down to a science, and I save an entire 30 min cleaning this house because of this vacuum! Time after time, 30 min!  This is a significant amount of time at work but imagine how much time I’d save at home! As a busy mom I need as many time-savers as I can get! With Black Friday around the corner it didn’t take me long to get one for myself!

This thing is always ready to go, lightweight and quick. I can whip it out, hit the stairs minutes before guests come, quickly vacuum up the crackers my kids just stepped on, easily vacuum cob webs or a window track, or pull it out in the car for a quick strong suction! Without a “cord” in the world!  ha ha, Seriously though, I CAN’T BELIEVE HOW MUCH EASIER IT IS TO KEEP MY FLOORS CLEAN!  So which one did I buy!? Shark Rocket or Dyson V7? I actually bought both! I couldn’t decided so I checked them both out and took one back! It’s been a few months and I’ll stick to my decision! Here are my Pro’s and Con’s about both!

 Pros

  • Attachments are interchangable with other Dyson Vacuums
  • Includes a wall mount to store the vaccum.
  • Can empty canister without taking off stick attachment.

Cons

  • It is very lightweight…maybe to a flaw, the head and stick feel more flimsy than the Shark.
  • Battery doesn’t last as long 30 min
  • No on/off switch….you have to constantly hold the trigger, which is easy but annoying.
  • Seems like a slightly smaller canister.
  • Price

 Pros

  • Battery Life is 40 min!
  • Sturdy, Durable design, doesn’t feel flimsy
  • Seems like a slightly larger canister
  • Carpet and Hardfloor switch with a power boost trigger.
  • Price

Cons

  • Have to snap off stick to empty canister.
  • Doesn’t include a wall mount.

After pulling them out of the box and sampling both, the decision was very clear! The Shark seems far superior to the Dyson. The icing on top was that it even costs less! I still use both regularly between work and home and when I’m at work, I miss my Shark at home!  If you are here you are debating whether to get a cordless vac, trust me it’s worth every penny! You won’t regret it!

HAPPY SHOPPING!
